Project Overview
Bringing the Garden Indoors.
Casa Verde is a 1970s ranch house in Austin reimagined for a young family of four. The owners wanted interiors that felt relaxed and lived-in, with a strong connection to the mature garden that surrounds the house.
The Challenge
Updating a Dated Plan Without Losing Its Character.
Dark, compartmentalized rooms cut the house off from its garden. The goal was to open the plan and bring in light while keeping the warmth and low-slung charm of the original architecture.
The Approach
Natural Tones and Tactile Surfaces.
We removed two interior walls to create one continuous living space and introduced lime-washed plaster, white oak, terracotta tile, and linen. Art direction ran through every room so that furniture, textiles, and artwork feel collected over time.

Project Outcome
A Home That Feels Easy to Live In.
Casa Verde now reads as one generous, light-filled space. The family spends most of the day between the kitchen and the garden terrace, exactly as the brief intended.
