Project Overview
A Workplace Built for Focus and Exchange.
Atelier North is the new home of North Collective, a creative agency that outgrew its loft in SoHo. The brief called for a studio where deep, focused work and spontaneous collaboration could happen within the same open floor.
The Challenge
Balancing Openness With Acoustic Calm.
The existing space was a long, column-heavy floor plate with hard surfaces and uneven daylight. Teams needed open sightlines and shared tables, but also quiet corners and rooms that could hold confidential client work.
The Approach
Zoning Through Material, Light, and Rhythm.
Rather than adding walls, we zoned the floor with changes in material and ceiling height. Oak joinery defines the collaboration core, a slatted timber ceiling softens sound, and the quietest desks sit along the brightest windows.

Project Outcome
A Studio That Works as Well as It Looks.
The team moved in during the spring of 2025. Meeting rooms are booked less often because the open floor now supports quieter work, and the space has become a place clients ask to visit.
